Hey,

I'm trying to create a video and I'm just wondering what in your guys opinions is the best video making software program around. All I want to do is simple things like cut parts out of different clips and putting it together with music.

What in your opinion is the best free software to do video editing?

Thanks in advance.

Windows Movie Maker is free and comes with XP service pack 2. It's a good, easy to use program but does not create very professional looking projects(the titles look tacky). I use Adobe Premier Elements. It only costs £50 and is a little more complex, but if you are looking for a cheap professional program then this is for you.

I made some videos many years ago, here is an example - http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q...rground2-1.flv

It was that long ago that i cant remember what software i used, but i will see if i can dig out the cd and find out what it was called if it looks to be the kind of thing you are after. It wasnt free but i also cant remember how much i paid for it either.
