1. I have files in my phone .3gp, I know they won't play in DVD (using cd-r or dvd-r) What's the best file format if I want it to be playable in DVD? I'm using a CD-R disk.

I have a cd-writer not a dvd writer. What I need is to convert a .3gp to a format that can be played in a JVC dvd player. I downloaded FFormater, a freeware that can convert any format (.gif to .jpg mp3 to mp4 .mpg to .avi etc). The good thing about that freeware is that you can join 2, 3 or more .3gp files in a single file. If I convert .3gp to .VOB does it automatically play in a DVD player connected to a TV? If you have a .3gp file and you want it to be playable in a JVC DVD Player, what file format will you use? (using cd-r disc, not dvd)

2. Is there a FREEWARE that can create photo slideshow in video format save as .mov or .avi, where i can select a sound of my choice? (.jpg files and .mp3)
I will use it in a pc, no need to burn in a CD but it is important that it is a video file. If you know any freeware that I can install in my pc so I can create a video presentation in .mov or .avi format, share it to me.

Thanks

Creating DVDs is a complex subject and to be honest, is beyond the scope of a a few forum posts. Having said that ..... here are a few points to consider :

There are stacks of converters out there, that will convert .3gp files to vob ... just google ".3gp to vob"! and take your pick.

That is unlikely to help you, however, as you do not have a DVD Burner and vob files can only be used on DVD fornat.

With a CD Burner, you are limited to VCD format, which is poor quality by comparison and not really used much these days. Some, but not all standalone DVD Players, will paly VCDs, so check your manual.
There are .3gp to VCD Conversion Programs around, but you would need to Google it.

To be honest, you would be far better off getting a DVD Burner .... these can be had for around £20 or less now and this will make conversion etc. much simpler.

I should have also said that you can convert your files to .vob and play them on your PC ok, but you cannot burn them to CDR, other than for storage.

Once converted to vobs, you can use a program to join them together and create a DVD compliable vobset ready to burn to DVDR.
