Hiya!

I did defrag but that was ages ago more than 2 months (not sure how regular you supposed to do it)

Have cleared all temp files

I've got Norton AV and spy thingy (comes with BT) and zonealarm firewall.

It hasn't always been so jumpy and rubbish

Sack Norton immediately and the Spy thingy that comes with BT.

To get shut of Norton completely go here.

Get Avast and Spybot from our Downloads section and get the latest updates for Spybot.

Zone Alarm is ok though.

Run those programs and get back to us felicia ok.

We are here to help.

Ok, i'm bit nervous about taking off Norton but you know more than me so i will, should I uninstall Norton then install others or get others and then unistall? Will there be any problems you think?

Just removing Norton from Add/Remove is not enough unfortunately Felicia.
You need to use the uninstall tool.
For the brief time you are online downloading Avast won't make a difference.
Install it then get Spybot.
Trust me you won't believe how much faster your pc will run.
