I have windows 7 downloaded, but i don't know how to burn it to a dvd correctly. Any help would be appreciated..

Use any iso burning program like Imgburn.
You can also mount the iso with something like Daemon Tools or PowerISO, or extract the ISO to a bootable flash drive.
