| I'm having a problem with my windows media player on windows xp. Heres what's up. I had vista on my laptop. I would play wmp files over the internet. Then I installed win xp over vista b/c vista was not much different than xp and vista was greedy for mem and hd space. Anyway. I installed xp and got all the drivers installed correctly. I also put wmp 11 on b/c that's what I had with vista. Then when I went to play my media on the internet it wouldn't play. There was an option to play with real player so I installed real player and that didn't work either. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks for any help ![]() Elijah |

| Have you made sure that you have the file asociations set up? I know when I installed WMP 11, I had to manually set them up. To do this, Right click on any WMP compatible file. Choose open with and then Choose Program. Select WMP and tick the "Always use program to open this kind of file" tickbox. HTH |
