Here's my problem.
Whenever I have any interaction with any videos on my computer, whether or not their in the My Videos folder or not, whichever program that's viewing or using the video files crashes, so right now I can't watch three years oh home videos because my computers not working, any ideas on what this might be or how ot fix this?

I would start with updating your codecs via an all in one codec pack.
