WMP-11 and my ps3

I need help connecting my ps3 and windows media player11, i know that you go to tools- options-library-configure sharing- and all that but my ps3 will not be reconziged by WMP-11
I went to the playstation fourms but no one helped me.

Are yo trying to use that Media Server thing in the PS3?

yup, but like i said wmp-11 will not see the ps3 so... its not working .

One of the things i can suggest to you is using ORB. Its picked up in the PS3's xmb as a media server. It allows you to stream over your home network to a different computer, or in this case your PS3. Its the way i do it and is reasonably fast, covers pictures, music and video. Cant remember the site so you will have to google it.

Im not sure why WMP doest pick up your PS3, it may be because its not using an OS recognised by XP, but thats a guess.
