i have used firefox for years but recently switched to opera due to issues with ff : ff could not load up some sites when other browsers would do so just fine, and ff crashed and had to close with annoying regularity.

opera's ok but i have my qualms with it too, i know many people say firefox is the only way to go but does anyone have issues with firefox or rate any other browser (not ie) above these 2? i would like to use something else.

are firefox/opera the only ones with add on like email checkers?

when did you switch from firefox?
recently I've updated and have not been experiencing many crashes at all
I only really know 4 web browsers, and firefox is netscape based so there'd be no reason to recommend it. Post if you do find an alternative that is worth checking out.

Netscape based?

i switched from firefox just after the last update

well i mean i started using opera, i've still got firefox installed because i have problems with opera, i use opera but go back to firefox for certain things

the main reason i want to stop using firefox is it's refusal to load up a certain forum (not this one) and also it crashes and has to close all the time.

i have found it very frustrating, on the forum which ff couldn't load, i made a thread about it and all anyone could say was "use firefox", even though i had stated i used firefox earlier in the thread. i tried ie and opera and they both worked fine for that forum but i don't like ie and neither firefox or opera seem that great to me, i like their features but they both fail at times
