Hello, I've recently encountered something of a snag, stemming from a request for help by a friend who has been encountering difficultly with his browser, or perhaps his internet connection as a whole, I don't know.

The gist is that he cannot make posts on a forum. He can view the forum & log into it on his machine but cannot post.

When he attempt to add a post his browser (tested on both Firefox & Internet Explorer) returns error stating:- "Bad Request; Your Browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Apache 2.2.3 (Fedora) server at default port 80."

Posts cannot be made through a proxy either, nor has clearing cache, refreshing IP, temp files et al. had any effect. Re-Installation of browsers has had no effect likewise. There is no problem with the actual account(s) on the board(s) either (indeed there are several boards on which he cannot post). You get the idea, I certainly have hit a dead end with this. He can post only on a different machine from his desktop at home, the problem is certainly routed there then.

The boards are all Invision power boards; one forum he cannot post upon is the following. www.pieandbovril.co.uk

Help much appreciated. LB.

Windows XP OS. IE 7.

The IE version should be irrelevant as he primarily browses with Firefox.
