hello,
3 weeks ago i had no internet access, dont know what was wrong, of friend of mine who knows about networks didn't know either...so i reinstalled vista with my recovery cd - all by myself . My friend (quite emphatically) told me to always keep deactivated all windows updates...Basically im happy, all the trouble i had on forums with log-ins and such is gone, the partition of my hard drive that i never had gotten the hang of in the first place is no longer, in short my computer looks and feels cleaned up ... But, when i watch Dutch online TV (i need good knowledge of Dutch for my job) my IE crashes after 10 or so minutes. Shall i activate windows updates, as the message i get after a crash suggests? The main reason for this thread is that i can't watch my favourite radio programme, this one here: http://www.obalive.nl/ You can watch the topics by clicking on "bekijk item". When i do this i get a "page not found" error message. I have VLC-player reinstalled, but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas why? |

If you are watching through a browser I suggest you make sure java and flash are up to date.

what are Flash and Java? I've thought flash is a memory type and java a language. How can i find out which versions i have? When i enter Java in my start box i get loads of Java things... Which is the one to update and which version shall i choose? |
