| I have just installed FF on my laptop, finding it much faster than IE.However, I have a problem: when I copy and paste an url into an email (hotmail) it appears, and is received, as plain text, which must be pasted into the address bar.In IE a coloured, highlighted link is created automatically, very useful and professional looking.I can't believe this is not possible with FF, and as I am new to computing I am assuming I am missing something obvious. Any answers? Thanks, Gads |

| Probably MS coded hotmail to do that on purpose since link generation usually happens automatically.

| An url is an url, doesn't matter whether you cut and paste it from FF, IE, Safari, whatever So it is a feature of your email that is stopping it working. So it might be as suggested above. |

| Why would MS code hotmail to stop link generation via FF - because they want you to use IE? Not very helpful, spiteful in fact. Thanks for replies, seems like I won't beat it. gads |
