Default Firefox 3 problems

Anybody else having problems with Firefox 3? It periodically hangs for 10--20 seconds, particularly after trying to scroll an tab window.

Thought it might be AVG's link scanner, but turned that off and it does the same.

I generally have 12+ tabs open and quite a few extensions.

Using the "Awesomebar", at all? It seems to have heavy problems with especially searching space-separated strings, etc.

If not, and it's just browsing, how much is it using? Might turn off some extensions to see if that helps too.

No Awesomebar

148Mb RAM at present, and 0 to 3% CPU, but then it isn't hanging currently.
