I have just changed to FireFox.

One annoying thing is if I open my hotmail via messenger or click a link in an email in outlook IE opens even though FF is set as default.

Any way to change this?

I'm guessing as both outlook and messenger are Microsoft products it's stuck like it.

Congrats on the switch Dave. I hope this doesn't deter you because I am sure it is annoying.
I don't have this problem but then it may be a difference in Countries from the sounds of this Mozillazine Knowledge Base explanation.

Glad you got it sorted.
There are some pages that will simply not work well with Firefox. That is where this Add-on comes in handy. It says for web developers but seems to be used widely for those pages (I have only ran into a few) that prefer to be used by IE.
