Hi, I did have IE 7 but it quit working and I had an installation file I saved so I could reinstall it if I had problems with it but, it failed to install I think because of a missing file or something. I installed IE Beta 8 said it was successful but, when I restart to pc dial-up to AOL then click on IE Icon I get the following error.

Cannot find 'file:///C:/Program%20Files/AOL%20Toollbar/welcome.html'. Make sure the path or Internet address are correct Thanks for any help!

Try going into add/remove programs and remove AOL toolbar from IE.

Failing that goto AOL and download/install their IE toolbar again.

Still getting same error? Before, I had google for my web search when I clicked on IE icon now, I just keep getting the same error I was. but, at the top of the page there is a google icon cause I added it using AOL Toolbar so, I can click on that google icon and the google page will come up I can't figure out why I can't just click on the desktop IE icon and go straight to google like I did before?

I doub't the AOL software will support IE8 yet.

Your best bet is to uninstall IE8, and see if IE7 starts working again. Uninstalling IE8 should 'reset' IE7.

Failing that, download Firefox and join the revolution

Also, do you really need the AOL toolbar? It is just bloatware to be honest.
