Yesterday I installed Internet Explorer 8 from automatic windows updates. I had Internet Explorer 7 working before the installations without any problems or specific issues. After I installed Internet Explorer 8, I had to restart my computer to complete the installation.
I faced the 2 following problems 1. Upon loading Internet Explorer the homepage doesn't play rather "Page cannot be displayed" error is shown, when I refresh or manualy enter the URL it works. 2. Frequently while browsing I recieve an error message about 'Data Execution Prevention' and that Internet Explorer 8 has to shutdown. I recieved this error many times its very frustrating. Doesn't occur on any certain website rather any website in general, youtube, facebook, yahoo, bbc, etc I went to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Data Execution Prevention and clicked use with all programs except the following and had Internet Explorer ticked. I still recieve the same error to this very moment. Also on a side note, while browsing Facebook.com 80% of the time the friendlist chat is not operational until several page refreshes. This never happened with Internet Explorer 7. My configurations: Windows XP Media Centre Edition Service Pack 3 Internet Explorer 8 Windows Live OneCare All latest windows patches installed Intel Centrino Due Any possible solutions? I am already sick of Internet Explorer 8! |
