So if I have a new computer that came pre-loaded with IE8 on a Vista install, and I want to go back to IE7, will it work if I just uninstall IE8? Or will I have to download a copy of IE7 to install after IE8 is uninstalled? Thanks very much for your help!

I'm not sure you can downgrade Internet Explorer... It's built into Windows and can't be removed via add/remove programs. I might be wrong tho'.

You can remove IE in add/remove programs, you just have to remove it as a Windows Component.
I am almost positive if you download IE7 and install it, it will uninstall IE8, but we all know how Microsoft is....... Plus, why would anyone want to use Internet Explorer anyway? Firefox is a kajillian times faster and has more features. In fact, every other browser I have used (Safari, Opera, Firefox, even the Xfire browser) have been 10 times better and faster than Internet Explorer :) My two cents.. |
