This may not be the right place to ask but I am desperate.

For 1 month now my internet connection dies randomly between 5-60 minutes. I have replaced modem 2 times and purchased new 10/100 ethernet card with no resolution. I can plug up a laptop or another pc and internet never drops. On my pc I get massive packet loos till ping is at 500ms+ and will hold there till I give up and power cycle.

I KNOW ITS MY PC, ONLY way to fix issue is when I RESTART my pc. Then everything works fine till starts up again. It seems that renewing IP temp fixes issue but I may be wrong.

Any HELP would be AWESOME. I don't know what else to do.

Ps, checked for spyware and viruses for 2 days straight, none found so thats prolly not it.

Long shot, but have you tried turning off the firewall and see if it still happens.

Don't have any firewalls on, no router no anything. Even windows firewall off.

Anyone plz have any ideas for me to try. I don' know what else to do. Nothing has worked. Has to be something.... :(

Have you tried uninstalling the modem, and installing it again?

if you have no firewalls maybe this is the problem
