Hi.. can anyone help please. I have been noticing problems since i changed my isp. Logged on today and for some inexplcable reason my desk top has frozen. Cannot use any of the icons on the desk top. And there is a window in the middle saying internet script error. Whether i click no or yes when asking to run scripts the window will not disappear. There is nothing listed after line Char etc. I have tried resseting internet explorer but to no avail. In fact when i did it now will not connect to microsoft server. But i can still use firefox.

Have you tried to do maintenance? Defrag, disk cleanup....

Spyware/virus scans?

Download and run CCleaner

Instructions for CCleaner can be found in this post

Install and run Auslogics Disk Defrag

See if these help any.

CCleaner is and always has been free, I think you need to go to the Virus Spyware & Security forum and do the Malware Removal thread and then post the logs in that forum.

If your home pages have changed, you might be well advised to run an anti-spyware program and anti-virus program before you waste time defragging a disk. Defragging makes programs run a bit faster, but that doesn't seem to be your problem
