Tab Mix Plus.

I normally have at least 4 tabs open at all times and as many as 10 at others. I can hardly use a computer without having absolute control over my tabs.

Wow, that's a straight rip of Opera.

No the functions that Opera has are standard in Firefox. Tab Mix Plus goes way beyond those functions.

And if we are going to go down that road, actually, it's a rip off of Netcaptor.

Tabbed browsing is neither a Firefox nor Opera invention. Firefox and Opera fans, both, should step back from any claims to this invention.

The first real tabbed browser with any significant presence on the web was Netcaptor, created by the very talented Adam Stiles way back in 1997.
And furthermore Mozilla released tabbed browsing before Opera.

Quote:
In September of 2001, Dave Hyatt added a tabbed browsing mode to Mozilla. This feature was release in Mozilla 0.9.5 in October of 2001

In December of 2001, Opera Software released version 6 of its Opera browser which was the first version to contain a genuined tabbed browsing mode (along with its SDI and MDI modes).

I do partly agree with MJM on that, the ability to control tabs more is in Opera, I don't know how much more is with the addon (I'm trying it now) but in opera, you can customise the order of tabbing, open recently closed tabs, duplicating tabs etc. That was infact the main thing that made me not too sure if I wanted to use FF rather than Opera, but I went with FF as it's better in general, but with that, it's even better

What really cheeses me off is FF default behaviour of changing the size of the tabs in the bar when you close one. Why they can't all just stay one size is beyond me.. I know they change to fit more of them in but they needn't change every time you close one.

You mean they should behave more like the tabs in Chrome?
