hi all, i have a small problem with my internet browser

when i try to get onto internet it says something about the Proxy settings, but i can get on to MSN via my desktop shortcut.

what baffles me is that msn uses the internet and i cant get onto any website's....

all help will be appriciated

Browser proxies only apply to http traffic. MSN is a different connection process.

Your ISP, presumably, insists that you use their proxy and they told you so when you signed up for their service. Or maybe not, maybe it's recent and they tried telling you and you didn't notice. Or it's a different cause entirely and we'd need to see the error message to know what.

Have you tried checking your ISP's help system?

What are you browsing to here with?

Tools>Internet Options>Lan Settings.

Make sure all box's are un-ticked.
