(Not sure where this topic would fit as I don't see a forum for internet-related topics...)
Just a few minutes ago, I can no longer access a friend's blog because my firefox browser keeps displaying this "401 The web site is blocked by administrator" error message. I am the administrator of my laptop, and I can access the blog freely just a few minutes ago. Additionally, I doubt a fashion blog would have any obscene content would it? Does anyone know how to disable these error messages for firefox? I can't find anything related in the Tools -> Options menu. Thanks =) Aiko~chan~ |

It would come under Web Browsers and FTP clients. It will get moved.
When it says blocked by administrator, maybe it means the administrator of the blog? |

No it's not blocked by the admin (why would she block a blog?). I think it's a common error too.

Moved to Web Browsers & FTP Clients forum.
Have you tried resetting the router? |

Is resetting the browser the only way to fix this? Isn't there some option in the browser or something to cancel this? I'm not really familiar with computers so I'm not sure where to start, like how to reset the router, where can I find the internet options that control the 401 error, etc. Thnx.

One of the sites I'm trying to access is this tutorial blog:
http://www.mermaiddiaries.com/2006/11/build.html Any of the tutorial links on that page would give me a 401 error, but not the page from the link itself. It's kind of weird. |
