Default Is there an alternative to Internet Explorer?

I have a computer running Windows 2000 Pro, with a DSL modem. I keep getting a stupid box saying Internet Explorer has encountered a problem & needs to close. Send or don't send report. I've tried both sending & not sending, but can't get it to stop popping up.

You can give Mozilla Firefox a go:
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/

Many would say it is a better browser than IE anyway.

As already suggested firefox is a great browser, you may also want to check out Opera browser as another alternative to IE

Go for firefox... firefox is much more stable, much more secured and much more easy and fun to use with all the available themes, plugins and addons.

Firefox, google chrome, and opera are all good. In my opinion refrain from google chrome because they keep records of everything you do, I hate people spying on me.
