Default what internet browser do you like

Firefox is my favourite because lots of useful plugin and better security than IE.

It's not needed in XP, on XP you can uninstall it.
I've been researching about it, and found out that it is possiple to uninstall it from Vista, but it will make alot of Microsofts program unable to work. the one I think most about is Windows Update, it can't work if lesser I got IE installed, and you can't download the updates from Microsoftupdate.com

Are you talking about IE7?

You can't just completely uninstall IE. The OS relies on it to function properly. It still has to be updated for security patches or is vulnerable to exploits. To navigate to files and folders you need it. And so on and on.........

Mac isn't open source. You have to buy a Macintosh computer.
