Hey, sorry for crowding up the Linux page,
I accidentally messed up my Adept Installer... the source is still there but the path is gone and i deleted the desktop icon that i put there and it erased the other link in the K menu. i was also having a previous problem with Adept: I clicked on the icon in the menu, and a message came up saying that Adept had failed to open because it issued a signal 6 error...

any help is GREATLY appreciated

If it has to do with your boot loader try going to http://www.supergrubdisk.org/ and down load the boot disk make sure your BIOS is set to boot.
