I may be missing something here - Mac OSX runs on Mac hardware, how do you expect it to run on a PC? Where would you get an OSX compiled for the PC's i686 hardware architecture?

it's very much possible, and I know of a site where it's discussed in detail, but given it's against this board's rules, I'd suggest you google for it |

Thank you hAvAAck, I just discovered lots about Digital Rights Management that I'd not heard about before. There seem to be people out there trying to put genies back into bottles.

I found a guide here on how to put mac OS X on to a pc though a emulator, as for how legal it is, I don't know for sure, but it would be by guess that it's legal, as long as both your XP and mac OS X are legit versions.

it is illegal as part of mac trying to control the market and get more money they wont allow you to run it on a pc, (if you want mac you will need to spend £800+ on their machine rather than 400 on a pc )

Macs no longer use PowerPC CPUs and therefore the OS is more easily ported to PC. It's not easy, but it's certainly possible, unlike before the Intel switch.
