I have an acer and I once had ubuntu installed laster I installed lo-jack for laptops (it goes into the BIOS) unfortunately it interupts the booting of either OS and needed the Super Grub Disk (from supergrubdish.org) to boot it everytime. I was wondering if I can put it on an external drive (maxar one touch mini) where I split the drive I was wondering what do I have to do to install it on the esternal and boot when ever I have it plugged in.

As a general rule you shouldn't install an OS to an external drive. It might work, but if for any reason whatsoever it becomes unplugged as you're using the OS you screw everything up.

How to do it is just the same as if you were doing it on an internal.
Partition, Format, Install the OS
