Default Hrlp "WEB BASED" operating system ideas please

I was searching around and I found something that tickled my fancy, Web Based OS I then did more research and found out I can run the OS from a server but thats where I come to a dead where can I find a remote server to run my os so I can access it from anywhere and how to connect to it I was thinking some thing like eyeOS.org/en or some thing where I am connected using the boot from network option from my BIOS if so do I have to run it and be connected to an eathernet cord or can I do it from wifi. I like the idea of sitting at a starbucks or such and running ubuntu, PClinuxOS, pup, or other from any computer. something I don't need to have an admon password for through a browser like a website that I don't have to lug my external harddrive around.

helpful post only

As far as I know, boot from network only works with ethernet - at least I've never seen it any other way.
You could try a ethernet wireless bridge, but that would reduce portability and not sure how you would set up the network etc...

As for the rest, I've always found network OSs to be stupid as hell... way to bottleneck your PC.

do what i do. get your self a 4 gig pendrive. install a linux distro that supports persistent overlay (so that you can save new files and settings just like it were installed on the hdd) and take that around with you.

Is it only me who sees it or is the first post of this thread been offset to the right?

I tried to move it back but it seems that it is stuck there. Oh well.

Disable your ad blocker, that will make you see why, there are ads there, there has already been a topic about it, but you must have missed it.
