i have dial up so hard to switch to linux

i wonder if a os on a thumb drive would work for solid state net book when i go to library for free wireless

or how to speed up xp

http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ - The only problem I've had with running a Linux distro from a flash drive is updating them (newer versions don't want to install) and they tend to not save sessions correctly which is very frustrating.

You can get Ubuntu on a disk for free by mail. https://shipit.ubuntu.com/
