There are tons of Forums out there. But they all push the distro that they are using. I have been told, and also read that Umbuntu is the best distro to learn on. However, I used Suse and as soon as my feet were wet i jumped to Zenwalk. with linux, the thing to think about is that there are hundreds of distros out there. Download a few ISOs or buy them on eBay(thats what I did)

I use ubuntu and learn from their website and forums although it's simple to use and superior to windows. Get the iso at http://www.distrowatch.com or whatever edition your looking for.
