Default linux mint, how to, download
im pretty sure ubuntu will work with a sony vaio, did you run the ubuntu live cd? try using the alternate installer and make sure you are telling the computer int the bios to boot from disk by pressing f12 and navigating to it

ubuntu works fine, just mint doesn't. but i have a new installed, im gonna try it out tommorow, i have loads of exams tommorow

well install ubuntu if mint wont install they are the same but with ubuntu you will have a slightly worse looking login screen and wallpaper which can both be changed and you will need to install flash ect

ok, not even ubuntu works...same problem as mint. it worked before but for some reason it's not working now
