Hello, I want to install Linux on an old computer with P3, 800MHz processor, 128Mb ram (I can increase this to 256Mb), 40Gb HDD. This is to be used a part of a network of WinXP computers and should be able to share the data. The only application I need is Openoffice 3.1. Should be fast enough?

Yeah, should be fine.

Definatly upgrade the RAM though and keep startup programs (well, all programs really) to an absolute minimum.
