I installed Ubuntu on my macbook 13' and when i partitioned, it partitioned fine. i booted on my ubuntu and it works fine. I click esc to go to the bootscreen so i can go to my mac os x....but the mac os x isnt there???? my HDD is 119GB and on my ubuntu it says i have 30 as i partitioned it. is my mac os x completely gone, or is it hiddne some where. if so how can i access it

boot ubuntu and check the mac partition for files you might just need to add the option for mac to your grub list

also, on my Beep Media Player, i have a plugin called BeepFinder but i dont know how to install it, the install read me isnt clear

is this on ubuntu?
i hav never heard of beep i use amarok and rythmbox

Could you post the unclear install read me to the thread so we can all see what it says? I'm learning a huge amount from these exchanges.

My main priority is getting my mac files as all my school files are on it.

Let me get the full flavor of that post - all your school files are on the mac under OSX and you've been repartitioning and formatting and installing Ubuntu on it and you have no backups of the school files anywhere at all? And they're important to you? Have I got that right?

well if thats the case boot ubuntu, go into the mac partition and take all the file you need and put them on a flash drive, then at least you have back ups
