Default mandriva one linux?

HI all,I need to know how to configure VGA drivers manually in mandriva live. The version that I downloaded is in this site page. (http://www.mandriva.com/ Everything works fine until I get to the login page. (i.e - localhost login) when I enter 'root' it kinda messes up all the time. The GUI is not displayed. Instead a crappy blank green color window appears & nothing happens afterwards.Ive been having this problem with all the Linux versions. Fedora, Ubuntu, ubuntu live.. (except Knoppix). With Ubuntu I could enter the advanced installation in boot menu & configure the VGA drivers manually to VESA. but how do I do this with Mandriva. (version is in the web site above).P.S - Im using AMD Athlon 32bit 2800+ &Nvidia 6600GT AGP VGA card Hope my hardware is compatible with thisThanks
