Default Problems with "Check your hard disk for errors" feature

I am having a problem with my computer. I tied to restore and the restore points wont work. It then says it can't restore due the disk cruption. and the errors are also keeping me from doing this http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...41f811033.mspx and when I do choose sceduel it wont. when I check the 2nd box and uncheck the first it go through the scan about 1/3 and exits that part of the program.

Hard restore via factory disk is out of the question due to it is too much work to put the programs back on. and other reasons.

You can try a boot-time repair with Diskeeper, << that is a link to the 30day free trial version

Once installed, select the drive in question and select boot-time defrag, then tick, run system "CHKDSK" before defrag, then apply
Hopefully that'll fix it for you
