Hi everyone,
Where do i get the latest version of Ubuntu and Beryl?

Is Beryl a stand alone OS or is it just a windows explorer?

Can i get Ubuntu and Beryl packaged together in a nice installer so i can just burn it to a CD and install it on a formatted hard drive?

What PC Specs do i need for Ubuntu and Beryl?

Most importantly can Ubuntu and Beryl play the latest games. I mean games that are DX10 like Crysis, Lost Planet and so on. However if not what DX9 games can it play and is there a list?

First, Beryl is a Windows Manager for Linux (eg Ubuntu). It controls the way windows and the desktop are displayed onscreen. Most PCs will have graphics cards capable of handling it. It is available as an option after installing Ubuntu. There is a utility like Add/Remove Programs in Windoze but it gives you a list of some 10,000 programs you can add. Beryl is one of these. Google Ubuntu Beryl for more info.

I wouldn't recommend Ubuntu or Linux for gaming. Cedega offer a gaming service:

It is better to dual boot Ubuntu with Windoze and use the latter for games.

Hi, the newest version of Ubuntu is 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon ( see www.ubuntu.com ) for download.

Beryl has merged with Compiz and has seized to exist, however, you can use Compiz-Fusion with the Beryl manager and Beryl themes (which I recommend)
