Currently I have dual boot, Kubuntu and Vista.

They are on separate partitions, yet if I just simply remove the Kubuntu partition Grub stops working and I can't boot into Vista. Is there a proper way to do this? Thanks. My System: Hybr!d

For future reference...
Basically you boot of an XP CD, R for recovery console, then FIXMBR to rewrite your boot files and remove grub. Then into disk management in Windows and remove/resize your partitions. |

Ah, you got it. My older brother was having a similar problem, he installed Ubuntu onto an external hdd, and that meant to boot up into Vista he needed the drive plugged in, and it requires plugging in to the mains, which defeats the object of a laptop rearly, but I think he fixed it, not sure how he did it though.

Driver problems. It just seemed like a big headache that I can do without.
