Help!! I am new and can't get my laptop to read a cd.. Can anyone help. as it boots up NTLDR is missing

when the system is starting press f2 repeatedly until the bios screen appears, scroll to boot, and set the primary boot device to the cd drive
or
as soon as you start your pc look at the bottom of the screen you should see boot options then a key next to it (i think its f12) once you know what it is turn off and back on and tap that key repeatedly until the boot menu appears, scroll to cd drive and hit enter
