ok so i have just decided to make the leap from xp to ubuntu linux. im trying to run a program called nwisdraper to run my wlan but i cant get my wireless driver to work. i have been trying to get this for about 4 days now and its ...

Ubuntu linux 7.10 WLAN problem
ok so i have just decided to make the leap from xp to ubuntu linux. im trying to run a program called nwisdraper to run my wlan but i cant get my wireless driver to work. i have been trying to get this for about 4 days now and its getting to be a pain. im really not a big fan of windows and i would like to stay with linux but im just so frustrated at the moment.

I take it you are using the manufacturers linux driver?

well what ndiswrapper is suppose to do is make the windows driver compatable with linux...if im understanding my research correctly. but im new so i could very well be completely off base.
