When I installed Ubuntu on my PC, all the codecs were missing plus my sound card wasnt working as well as my video cards drive wasnt working...
I think it's because i got a really bad version. Either that or something else. any help? |

the codecs for media are not included with the cd but can be easily downloaded,

also what sound card do you have and what graphics card, most mainstream cards are supported and finny what version gutsy gibbon? (7.10) My System: Cewy's wonder macine

well if you switch to pclinuxos everything is there

cheesewheels if someone came on here saying that their windows pc doesn't have the drivers for his camera and he needs them installing would you jump in and tell him to use mac because all the drivers are there.....

I have the good ol' nVidia 7600 with god knows what soundcard. its stock, came with my motherboard

did you get the driver?
also for anyone wanting ubuntu without wanting to download all the propitiatory codecs have a look at mint (ubuntu with codecs flash and java pre installed ) |
