Default What to do w/Evolution upgrades

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbons

My e-mail client is Thunderbird therefore Evolution is a unnecessary program

In synaptic manager there are numerous upgradeable files for Evolution

I would like to remove those files or transfer them to another segment of synaptic

Scanning them every time you search for new updates is a waste of time and effort

Your help will be appreciated

Ray

Problem solved

By using lock version in synaptic it moves the file to a category named pinned

It is now removed from upgrades and no longer in the way

Thanks
