...help!!!!? I have bought a toshiba L305-S5865 notebook from walmart some months ago,and it came with windows vista home premium,when i install ubuntu it works great for a couple of restarts and then it freezes to grub with the word grub on the screen,then it fills the screen with grub loading stage 1.5,what did i do wrong,i checked the cd and the download everything is ok,is it incompatiable with ubuntu?

You will probably have to do a Ubuntu reinstall.

sounds like grub is corrupt, re-install grub using this link

thats the great thing with linux, you hardly ever have to do a fresh install as everything is fixable My System: Cewy's wonder macine

yes, a faulty install could cause corrupt files therefore freezing. Reinstalling could stop the problem, a fresh install usually does work but be sure to post back if all else fails.
