what you were trying to install?

Try to search whatever you want to install from Add / Delete Program ... search for available software.

if you're not into learning how to do things why try anything new?
like I said, ubuntuforums has lots of how-tos if you search.

Ubuntu Runs Gnome. So if you are installing KDE themes, you need to switch to the KDE window manager.

But first things first.

1. Did you install Ubuntu 7.04 or are you running the live cd?
2. Installing is done through Synaptic under system--administration
3. If you really want KDE, download Kbuntu or Mepis
