Default Workspace in Gusty 7.10

My search in different forums indicated that Gusty gnome is not able to handle but one workspace with wallpaper at a time

What I am trying to accomplish is to have cube on one workspace and my current wallpaper on another workspace and switch back and forth as necessary

I have found a program call "Wallpapoz" that some users have success using while others discourage its use.

Is there any other program available to accomplish this with proven success

I know about KDE and have used it but would like to stay with Gnome

Thanks for the reply

I have compiz and desktop special effect

When you say I have it on mine what are you referring to

You response does not seem to answer my question which is about wallpapoz and using wallpaper and cube on gnome workspace 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 or any two combinations

I. Disable "show desktop" in Nautilus
1. ALT+F2
2. gconf-editor
3. Apps --> Nautilus --> Preferences
4. Untick "show desktop"

II. Install Compiz Fusion
1. In Terminal, input the following:
Code:
sudo aptitude install compizconfig-settings-manager
2. Exit Terminal

III. Select your desktop wallpaper
1. System --> Preferences --> Advanced Desktop Settings
2. Tick "Desktop Cube" and opt to disable desktop wall if prompted
3. Tick "Rotate Cube"
4. Select "Desktop Cube"
5. Click "Appearance" tab
6. Click "Add" under the "Background Images" field
7. Browse for your desired wallpaper(s), ordering them based on which face of the cube you want them to appear

Cew

Printed your instruction so that nothing would be forgotten

Changed Nautilus to not show desktop

Compiz-fusion-settings-manager already installed

Desktop cube already checked

Rotate cube already checked

When I try and add a wallpaper to a position on the cube all four workspaces change to the same wallpaper

The only way to have something different on the workspaces is to have an app above the wallpaper on one. Then when you rotate the cube you see the wallpaper and the app

My original question was is there another app besides wallpapoz that will allow using more than one wallpaper as you can do in KDE desktop
