I prefer CentOS. It uses less power than Ubuntu, or well, runs smoother on my computer anyways. And thus is the magic of Linux. Can do some pretty slick graphics stuff using less power than WinXP does with everything turned off.

With Linux do you have to burn it to a disk first? Also could i install it on a blank hd as well as one containing xp?

also you can dual boot i am tripple booting at the moment and it is alos easy to do
