Hi everyone

Newbie here, with a problem that is driving me crazy. I decided to load Microsoft Works onto my pc yesterday and managed to install some of the package. Then when is trying to install Microsoft Word, Picture It and Encarta it tells me that there is something running in the background that won't let me. I followed an advice to go to msconfig in Run command and untick Load startup programs but that didn't fix the problem. I have also disabled my antivirus and Ad Aware, still no solution. Can anyone help me with this? What could be wrong? Why did it install some of the package and doesn't want to install the rest. Help needed and will be appreciated!!! Many thanks
