Default Excel Formula Help

Hi,

I'm doing a spreadsheet project at the moment which is a Quoting system in effect (Once I get it going).

I have combo boxes from which the data comes from another sheet. I have set the cell link and all, but when I click on a option, it comes up with the numbers '1', '2', '3' etc. I want it to come up with the price of the product.

Any help would be appreciated. This is early stages of the project at the moment. But I can paste screenshots if necessary.

Jon

do you have it set to currency? do you have it linked properly?
Best case would be to post the sheet (with false info if you don't want people to have it) and then explain what you want

Hi

Instead of using the Forms toolbar controls, use the Control Toolbox controls - you'll have more properties to choose from and more control.

I've created one new combobox on your sheet - choose a product and the price appears in the cell next to it.

I've named your price list range, A2:B11 as List - using a Named Range is easier. Then, in the combobox properties, change the Bound Column to 2, the ListFillRange to the newly Named Range and the LinkedCell to whatever suits. By changing the BoundColumn to 2, you are effectively doing a lookup on the list of products and prices.

Hopefully that should give you a start and some ideas.

Default Excel Formula Help

hey,

my post links into Jonathon's post as it is a similar project. I need a formula which will increase the number by 1 every time a quote is saved. For example customer no. is 1 atm, after this quote has been saved, the number will go upto 2 and so on.
