Hi,

I have word 2002, and recently, whenever you try to launch a word document from explorer, word will load, but not the document. leaving word open and clicking on the file suceeds and it loads.

What is the cause of this problem and is there a fix?

Open Word, click on Help > Check for updates.

Done that, also microsoft update. All available updates installed.
