Im making my own checkbook system, and in the debit column i want the numbers to appear in red with parentheses around the numbers without having to put -100.00 in as an example. i want to enter the debits into the column and excel know it is a negative and therefore put it in the format i mentioned.
i dont not want to have to use the - sign for every debit. for the life of me i cannot figure this out, formatting cells with number dialog box doesnt work since it sees the numbers as positive, please help me. thanks in advance, excel 2007 btw |
