Ok guys just wondering which version of Office you prefer.
I use the classic 2003 version because

1- it is easy to use and simple to find tools
2 - Office '07 is difficult to use as I am not familiar with it also it is graphical based and complex to use.

What about you?

lol - wish I had the choice. Office XP at work and same at home. I'd love to upgrade at home but the Finance Committee won't have any of it...

2007 all around for me.

I am still not sure how much I prefer it now though, haven't used 2003 for so long.

Took me a while to get used to it, I do quite like the Ribbon though I think.

2003 is good. but 2007 has more features, and is easier to use once you've got the hang of it!
looks better as well, but thats not exactly a huge selling point.
once you've got the hang of it, 2007 is well better, in my opinion anyway

I can't be bothered with Office 2007. We have it at college and by default my work opens up on there instead of the 2003 version. I just don't get it. Well its not that complicated to use the basic features but it takes me longer as Im having to look through the different icons and takes more time. So I switch to 2003. So much easier :D bye bye 07 :) lol

2003 was more user friendly

However 2007 looks better and when you work out where everything is its a better program.

The problem most people have is adapting to the change. I hated 2007 when it first came out but now I think its much better

Like any changes to programs and apps. A little learning is required. I grew up on 97-03 but once I started school in 2006, here came 2007. My school implements 07 so that is what I have taken classes on. Knowing that 2003 was probably easier, in order to stay current and ahead of the curb then one must sacrifice loyalty to a product and relearn the upgrade or replacement! It's Product Life Cycle baby! LOL

They only release a new one to get more money outta you. If Microsoft allowed you to buy edition and then updated it to new versions for few how much easier would our lives be

I like 2007 better because everything is easier to access when its just laid out. But I dont like how they removed the margins.

They equally wouldn't make any money, so they wouldn't pay there developers, hence there would be no new versions, because in this world, nothing is free.

Do you buy a washing machine from the supermarket, and then get yearly upgrades for free to the latest model?

If not, why should it not be any different for software?
