I legally paid for a licensed copy of Office 2003 through Emory. They switched to Office 2007 recently, and in the last few month's I can't update my office. This is for my old computer which i am currently on (see the beer in my computer thread for details lol). I have a copy of 2007 home student that i purchased for my "new' computer that has 2 licenses left. How do I switch over without losing all my documents?I have over a hundred articles I wrote that I don't want to lose but just damn, I can't update this 2003.

But didn't answer it, and I think it was relevant as far as a legal copy was concerned because licenses can be subjective.

I didn't answer because I do not know, I was simply informing you I had moved your post.

Evils post was about making sure you run genuine software, your question is about office not updating and if you can install office without losing documents.

Documents shouldn't be an issue, if you uninstall Office 03, all the documents you saved will stay, then when you install Office 07, it should be able to read the Office 03 files.

Hope this is what you were meaning.
